Trainee Minimum Wage Rates reintroduced

The Government of Jersey has announced the reintroduction of Trainee Minimum Wage Rates to support access to skills training and help businesses recruit apprentices into skilled employment.
From 1 September 2025, new rates will apply:

  • Year 1 Trainee Rate: ÂŁ10.50/hour
  • Year 2 Trainee Rate: ÂŁ11.75/hour

Temporary relocation of Jersey Crematorium services

From 1 September 2025, multi-faith and non-religious funeral services will be temporarily relocated from Westmount Road to the Members’ Room at the Royal Jersey Agricultural & Horticultural Society (RJA&HS) in Trinity. This move ensures services can continue with dignity during construction of the new Acute Hospital at Overdale.
