Parts of Railway Walk closed by landslip
A landslip occurred on Wednesday night on the Railway Walk, near the Jersey Water impounding pond near Mont Nicolle. As a precaution, the Railway Walk has been closed from the Pont Marquet dip to the point where the path meets St Aubin’s Hill.

Cocaine importer jailed
A 27-year-old man from Dumfries has been sentenced by the Royal Court to four years and four months imprisonment for the importation of cocaine, with a street value of £17,500.
Date for 2026 Jersey Children’s Day
The annual celebration of Jersey Children’s Day will take place on Sunday 12 July 2026. The free and fun event, to be held in Howard Davis Park again, is dedicated to recognising and celebrating the Island’s children and young people and advocating for their well-being and rights.
