Strengthened support for carers announced
The Government is delivering on its commitment to improve support for individuals receiving care and carers across the Island. Following the urgent review announced last month, good progress has been made to ensure there is practical, fair, and sustainable assistance.
Planning permission granted for 42 sheltered homes
The Minister for the Environment, Deputy Steve Luce, has granted planning permission for the development of 42 sheltered homes for over-55s at St Joseph’s Care Home, St John’s Road, St Helier, following the outcome of a planning appeal.
Hospital launches Winter Plan
Health and Care Jersey has introduced targeted measures to help ease the demand on the General Hospital during the winter. The Winter Plan aims to enhance patient experience, reduce unnecessary admissions as well as reduce the length of time patients stay in Hospital.
