Proposed minimum wage for 2026 announced
The Minister for Social Security, Deputy Lyndsay Feltham, has proposed a new minimum wage rate for 2026 from, raising it from its current level of £13.00 to £13.59 an hour. The Minister is announcing the rate well in advance of its proposed implementation on 1 April next year. 

“High compliance” rating in anti-doping in sport convention
Jersey has achieved a 90% compliance rating under UNESCO’s International Convention against Doping in Sport, placing it among global leaders in sports integrity. This recognition, announced at COP10 in Paris, follows a rigorous new assessment process for 2025. 

Dispute resolved
A dispute between the Association of Educational Psychologists, AEP, and the Government of Jersey has now been resolved. The Association issued a notice in October 2024 citing unresolved concerns over workload, capacity, and service quality.
